Tooltraps

TIS Tool Traps are designed as a safety measure positioned at the base of the surface well intervention manifold, using a spring loaded flapper mechanism to prevent the tool string from being dropped down the well.

TIS Tool Traps are available with the following options:

  • 5,000 psi, 10,000 psi and 15,000 psi working pressures
  • Standard or sour service
  • Service temperature range of -290C to +1210C
  • Choice of quick union connections
  • Counter balance operating handle acts as a visual
    indicator on the manual tool trap
  • An external indicator rod attached to the hydraulic
    piston provides positive indication of flapper position on
    the hydraulic tool trap
