The package comprised of:
2x Single Drum Wireline Units
2x Diesel Powerpacks

TIS Wireline Units are designed for controlled deployment and recovery of slickline, braided line and electric line from an open console or fully containerised unit, during well intervention operations. TIS Powerpacks can be designed to any client specification with our field proven designs thriving in harsh environments, and adaptable to any operational requirement needed. All equipment in this package was built and certified in compliance with DNV-ST-E271 and CE ATEX Zone 2.
The Single Drum Wireline Units (TW-A-2005) were designed to accommodate a range of slicklines – 39,000ft of 0.092”, 28,000ft of 0.108”, of 21,000ft of 0.125”. The units also have a descent control function for use in logging type intervention operations. Manufactured to be as lightweight and compact as possibly, each wireline unit weighs 1,600kgs with a full drum of the heaviest wire it can hold. A drum changeout kit allows for installation of drums in field, meaning the equipment can be transported in multiple lifts weighing less than 1,000kg each. For easy maneuverability on helidecks platforms, these wireline units were supplied with hydraulic jacking castors which employ a simple Enerpac handpump to raise it onto the castors with limited effort. The internal measuring head sub-assembly is specifically designed to enhance the life of the wire, with integral guide rollers allowing the measuring head to always follow the line of the wire and reduce the bending moments of the wire around the rollers by half. A sun hood fixed to the unit provides the operator with protection from sun and rain, quickly erected into position when needed and easily folded away within the frame when not in use.
The Deisel Powerpacks (PM-A-2008) were designed to provide the necessary power required for the wireline units. The JCB444 83HP diesel engine, incorporated in the powerpack is ATEX certified, and is fitted with a stainless steel monitoring panel, gauges indicating the Oil, water, and exhaust temperatures, as well as a gauge for RPM. The powerpack utilises dual pump systems, with an open loop main van pump capable of working up to 3,000psi and a ‘piggyback’ pump which is used for engine starter and gear pump.
